Dalton is located just off Interstate 75 in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in northwest Georgia.
Dalton has an interesting history including early Native American settlements and many Civil War battle sites. In fact Dalton county has more intact Civil War artifacts that any place in the USA.
Dalton is also known as the carpet capital of the world, the largest carpet manufacturing area in the entire world.
